About Me

Dave
This blog describes the experiences of a team of surgeons at JFK Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia. This visit (March 2025) is my 26th time at JFK. We travel and work here under the auspices of HEARTT, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare for the Liberian people. The founding President of HEARTT was Dr. James Adamah Sirleaf, an ED physician in Albany, GA. HEARTT volunteers have included ED residents and attendings, pediatric residents and attendings, and surgical teams.
